WELCOME To The Institute for Psychedelic Research (IPR-TLV)

The rigorous investigation of how psychedelics alter the mind must account for the various aspects of life that affect consciousness, such as our emotions, our social environments, and what motivates our behavior. Thus, the future of psychedelic research lies in the integration of diverse disciplines that can illuminate blind spots and create a stronger and more cohesive body of scientific knowledge. The Institute for Integrative Psychedelics Research at TAU (IPRTLV) offers an advantage that few comparable centers around the world can offer. It will promote psychedelic research under key academic pillars relating to mental health: neuroscience; psychology; anthropology, health, sociology, cultural studies, philosophy, policy, and ethics. Furthermore, by applying state-of-the-art methodologies in system and computational neuroscience, cognitive sciences, engineering, and data science, the Institute will be capable of generating cutting-edge scientific discoveries, as well as novel evidence-based clinical treatment approaches. IPR-TLV will leverage TAU’s close ties with 19 affiliated hospitals, as well as robust partnerships with government ministries and pharma & biotech companies, to ensure the constant interchange of findings between bench and clinic – transforming lab discoveries into treatments that ease suffering and enhance quality of life.
