WELCOME To The Institute for Psychedelic Research (IPR-TLV)

Psychedelic substances are a unique and powerful experimental and therapeutic tool with a tremendous potential to clarify fundamental questions regarding the essence of the human experience. Recent studies on psychedelics have demonstrated a dramatic improvement in otherwise treatment-resistant conditions such as suicidal depression, chronic pain, and post-traumatic stress. Psychedelics also provide an unprecedented opportunity to deepen our understanding of the neurobiological building blocks of our mind, by pharmacologically inducing modifications in perception, emotion, cognition, and awareness of oneself and others. Thus, psychedelics open exciting new prospects for cognitive-affective neuroscience and neuropsychiatry, both by enriching basic research methodologies and offering new approaches to healing the mind.
