Research work

Characterize human mental processing related to subjective emotional experience, by identifying their underlying phenomenological complexity (expressions and actions) and distributed representations of brain mechanism depicted by multimodal neuroimaging (MRI, fMRI, EEG and EcoG).
Leading themes; 1. Emotions as they unfold in experience through ecological sampling and in brain through intracranial recordings, fMRI and EEG, 2. Process based NeuroFeedback to induce brain plasticity for therapeutics (immunological, psychiatric and neurological). 3. What is learnt in Nurofeedback ? psychological, neuronal and computational perspectives. 4. Multi-parametric (neuropsychological and epigenetic) prediction models of stress consequence; exposing the manifolds of the human stress response following a traumatic event. 5. A motivation framework of stress and anxiety; investigating approach-avoidance conflict and reward/punishment weighting under stress.
