Research Interest

 

 
Prof. Barak's research focuses on the psychological and neurobiological mechanisms of alcohol and drug addiction, with emphasis on aberrant learning and memory processes in substance abuse. His lab is using a multidisciplinary approach, which combines sophisticated behavioral analysis of drug and alcohol-related behaviors, molecular biology, biochemistry, and cutting-edge techniques such as viral-mediated gene delivery or gene silencing, and RNA sequencing.
